Norwegian Bunads

Bunads are the National costume of Norway. There is a huge variety of styles of bunads. Each district has a particular style, sometimes a couple styles. There is a dress bunad and then there are the summer work bunads. The national bunads are never worn with just any jewelry. The women and men wear the jewelry that is native to their area and purses are never worn with the bunad unless it was made specifically to go with the bunad.
